Re: Passport Services In the past, I have received passport services from Arbutus library for multiple individuals and it was great. Recently, I have received passport services from Arbutus library for my daughter. I paid for the following... $35 for each passport application submitted $15 for each photo needed $?? expedite shipping During the appointment, the library woman was clueless on how to properly fill out the application and how to take a proper photograph of a baby. Last year is when I had a library appointment. I just received a letter in the mail from the "passport administration" requesting for more information. I don't even think I'm going to be able to fly out of the country on time due to poor services from this Arbutus branch; moreover, it's going to cost me more money if I have to change my flight. I'm sure many other people are experiencing the same issues with not having their passport applications properly being filled out and getting letters back from the "passport administration" requesting for more information and signatures. Overall, you can have the Arbutus Branch Library fill-out the application for you, but they are in no way professionals. It feels as if they just have any random staff member doing it. If your willing to pay to ensure that it is done right, your better off going somewhere else, or doing it yourself.

The Arbutus Branch Library is an indispensable resource. 3D printer, kids area, computers, videos and of course books. A fantastic facility with plenty of community events. Plenty of parking a a really nice staff. Last time I was at the library was for a red cross blood drive. There is so much going on! Swing by and check it out, if you don't go to the library they won't get funding.

Love Arbutus library branch. The librarians are helpful. When my daughter was looking for information for a school paper, she went to ask the librarian for recommended resources. The librarian reserved books for her to pick up, along with printing out information from the internet for further research. My kids love the extra programs. (We wish there were more offered.) Plus, I am so thankful for the drive up window I frequently use to pick up my reserved books.

Impressed with this library branch. Books were well organized and almost everything I was looking for was in the right place. They have a computer dedicated for lookups in the middle of the aisles, several desks for places to work or bring your laptop, and a few meeting rooms. While I was there, they were doing a community event where they asked elementary schoolers to help build Legos. Getting a library card is free, all you have to do is present your identification at the front desk. It took about 5 to 7 minutes to get set up and it was super easy. They also have vending machines for drinks and snacks.

I just wanted to share that I had a lovely experience at this library. I had made a passport appointment for me and my partner at the nearby post office but when I got there the clerk turned us away, stating she was simply to busy because she was the only one there. My partner called the library afterwards, explained our situation and asked if they could fit us in. They diligently worked hard to accommodate our last minute need and were polite, professional and courteous. Both the young woman at the front and our passport agent showed us genuine kindness and ensured all our documents were in order. I have told everyone how the librarians at this location are bad a$$ and saved the day!
